1. Foundation of Jansen AG

    1923

    Josef Jansen founds «Panzerröhrenfabrik + Sauerstoffwerke Jansen & Co.» in Oberriet with a workforce of six employees.

  2. First steel tube is produced

    1930

    The first precision steel tube is drawn.

  3. Product range is extended

    1946

    The product range is extended to include the fabrication of steel profile systems. The Jansen workforce reaches 120. For the first time, the company produces steel profiles for doors, gates and industrial applications.

  4. New logo

    1954

    The new Jansen logo is created – it is still in use today

  5. Manufacture of plastic pipes

    1955

    Now Jansen profiles have a new sealing groove. Plastic pipes are produced to round off the product range. Two years later, Jansen has a workforce of 220 employees.

  6. Partnership with Schüco

    1978

    Schüco becomes a system supplier for windows, doors, sliding systems and facades made of aluminium. In 1978, the ground stone of a successful partnership with Jansen was laid: the company distributes Schüco products in Switzerland and in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

  7. High-rack warehouse

    1990

    A high-rack warehouse is built. The workforce has grown to 670 employees; turnover exceeds 200 million Swiss francs for the first time.

  8. Dingelstädt production facility

    1997

    Jansen achieves SQS certification in accordance with EN/ISO 9001 for the whole company. Production starts in the newly erected subsidiary factory in Dingelstädt/Germany.

  9. Third generation joins the company

    2003

    The third generation of the Jansen family joins the company. Approx. 750 employees are on the payroll.

  10. Jansen Campus built

    2011

    The worldwide workforce numbers over 1,000 employees, including about 60 apprentices. The company generates a turnover of about 300 million Swiss francs. The new Jansen Campus at Oberriet is completed and occupied.

  11. Opening of the new Jansen Technology Centre

    2017

    Our new Jansen Technology Centre features state-of-the-art technology and an integrated test centre providing all necessary facilities for research and development of versatile steel and aluminium profile systems.

  12. Takeover of the company RP Technik GmbH

    2021

    Jansen AG takes over RP Technik GmbH from January.

  13. Selling its Steel Tubes Division

    2021

    On 1 April 2021, Mubea takes over Jansen’s automotive supply business.

  14. New sales location - Netherlands and Belgium

    2022

    On 1 January 2022, Jansen AG opens an independent representative office in Breda (NL) and in doing so will take care of market development in the Netherlands and Belgium directly.

  15. 100 years Jansen

    2023

    On 16 June 2023, the anniversary celebration takes place in Oberriet with all active and retired Jansen employees including partners.
