Renovation in several acts  

The renovation of the building envelope also played an important role in the targeted reduction of energy consumption and maintenance costs. The concept by Baumann Lukas Architektur in Basel opens up the foyer and the side entrances to the city without significantly changing the cityscape. During the second renovation phase, thermal insulation renovations also played an important role. In this area, Jansen products from the Janisol range were able to convince the planners. The slender steel thermal insulation profiles comply with the theatre's renovation concept both in terms of the energy specifications and with regard to the preservation of historical monuments. In the area of the staff canteen on the ground floor, additional Janisol lift-and-slide doors ensure that the room can be opened to the outside. The Janisol profiles, among other things, ultimately also succeed in improving thermal and acoustic comfort as well as reducing the theatre's energy requirements.
