In Madrid's Ombú building, Sir Norman Foster has transformed a landmark for economic development over the past century into a promise for the future of the capital. Filigree steel profiles combine with large skylights and the interior fittings made of 1,600 cubic metres of wood from local forests, FSC certified, to create a high-contrast, organic structural context. The Jansen VISS system with its slim profiles was installed, which helps architects to design large glass surfaces of the highest quality. VISS Fire meets the safety requirements in buildings where fire protection is required. 

The energy balance of the ACCIONA project has earned the Ombú building in the Iberian capital LEED Platinum pre-certification.
