Jansen has been cooperating with the École du Métal in Bulle since 2022. This year, the training course for metal construction designers was offered for the first time in March. In the theoretical part as well as in the practical part in the workshop, the apprentices are trained in EI30 fire protection systems. Six fixed elements with two different panels (glass/sheet metal) were therefore built.
The theoretical part includes:

- Introduction to standards
- Differences: normal profile versus fire protection profile
- Introduction to supplier documentation
- Preparation for practice
As one of the market-leading suppliers of steel profiles, Jansen is committed to supporting the training of young people. To ensure competent knowledge management, four Fribourg companies founded the École du Métal in 2005: CMA (Constructeurs Métalliques Associés), MORAND Constructions Métalliques, PROGIN SA Métal and SOTTAS SA. Strengthened by this experience, these companies, in partnership with Metaltec Romandie, founded the apprenticeship for draughtsmen/metalworkers in 2021.
