The divestment of the Steel Tubes Division will enable Jansen to focus more closely on supplying specific segments in which it can establish and develop its position as a leading supplier of steel and aluminium systems, and plastic products for the construction sector. The manufacturing partnership recently forged with Welser Profile and the acquisition of RP Technik GmbH can also be regarded as further important milestones in the Jansen Group’s realignment strategy. Jansen is already the undisputed leading supplier of steel profile systems for windows, doors and facades. The company is an exclusive Swiss distributor for the German manufacturer of window, door and facade systems Schüco International KG, and distributes its aluminium profile systems. Jansen also occupies a leading position in other segments as a producer of geothermal solutions as well as plastic composite tubes, profiles and products for the services installations, civil engineering and construction industries.
The owner-managed family company Mubea is a global leader in the development and manufacture of complex automotive components. Mubea is acquiring the Steel Tubes Division from Jansen at the beginning of April 2021 which will specifically encompass Jansen GmbH in Dingelstädt, Germany, and the Steel Tubes Division in Oberriet, Switzerland. The Jansen Group will continue to develop, manufacture and distribute the world’s leading steel profile systems for doors, windows and facades, alongside innovative and sustainable plastic systems and geothermal solutions for construction projects. Jansen will also continue to be responsible for professional development. Mubea will continue to use the Jansen brand name for steel tube products, so the "Jansen" name will continue to be used in the marketplace.
