Butt hinges cannot be selected for aluminium systems (inward opening)
- In the "Panel properties" of an opened item, under "Openings", you must select "Inward opening, no filler profile" for the "Variant".
JANIsoft does not start although the dongle is connected (applies to the 90-day version)
- Check that the dongle lights up:
- If there is no red light, insert the dongle into another USB port.
- Dongle driver is out of date:
- Start the Toolbox and click the "HASP Drivers" button to update the driver software.
How is a stepped insulated glazing unit installed in a rooflight?
- A triple-glazed unit must be used and it must be at least 38 mm thick.
- The outer glass must be 8 mm thick
- In "Settings (Technology/processing)" under "Design" -> "Glazing gutter-side" change to "Stepped double glazed unit"
Layer settings JANIsoft
- This option is available only with the SchüCad option used with a full version of AutoCAD
- The settings cannot be imported from AutoCAD into JANIsoft (layer colours)

The conversion of the user data (mdb > sqlite) is missing or incomplete.
- You have to restart Janisoft 2 times with each workstation configuration (local & network).
Showing or hiding the concurrently calculated price in construction mode
- In order to deactivate or activate the concurrent price, the box "With price" must be checked or unchecked under "General -> Settings -> User settings".

Solution:
- Control Panel\ProgramsPrograms and Features
- "Microsoft Access database engine 2010" or "Microsoft Access database engine 2016
- Right click to uninstall
- Then in the installation folder: JANIsoft_2022_R3_64-bit_SQL\Extras\MicrosoftRedist
- Run the "32-bit or 64-bit AccessDatabaseEngine.exe" as administrator.
- Reinstall JANIsoft
Error message:
ODBC driver login error for Microsoft Access
Invalid argument
Solution:
- Check the memory space in the drive (C:\) and clean it up if necessary
- Reinstall JANIsoft
Error message:
A required updated price list could not be found (ADUJ****).
The programme could not be started.

Solution:
In the case of a mixed fabricator (outside CH), which processes Schüco and Jansen systems, both software, SchüCal as the first and JANIsoft as the application, must be installed.
In this case, JANIsoft only adds the Jansen systems and SchüCal serves as the basis or main software.
Error message:
Cannot activate workbench configuration "Name of the workbench".
The user data directory is not defined.
Solution:
- Check if JANIsoft has a connection to the server drive.
- Check whether you have access to the server drive.
Inventor: programming for the dongle is available but the interface does not work in JANIsoft
- Restart SchüCad Inventor
- Your version of Inventor is too old (older than 2 years)
Inventor: Where can I find the interface in JANIsoft?
- In Register CAD, with an item open
- Only with an additional option Autodesk Inventor (from Advanced version upwards)
Are CAD programs such as HI-CAD, MEGA-CAD etc. compatible with JANIsoft?
- At the moment, only AUTODESK products are compatible with JANIsoft, e.g. AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Inventor
Does the software create STEP files?
- There is now the possibility to export STEP files with an additional module.
